Bio

This is a livejournal account to display all the artwork of Dana Larson in an informal way. It is open to everyone and all comments are allowed.

Most of the art here are simple doodles and informal sketches. Some of it is practice art. Some of it will be commission progress or the like. Fan art may be displayed as well.

Critiques and redlines of any of the art posted is encouraged.

About me:

I have a BA in English from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana.
I'm from the Chicagoland area. I dislike the state of Illinois, but I do love Chicago.
I have been drawing all my life for fun. When I created a DeviantArt account in 2002, I began to improve by studying the works of others. I have begun to get very serious about my art and have been researching proper technique through instructional books and the web. I hope to take art classes some day, but currently due to time and funding constraints this is not possible.
In addition to art, I am an avid writer and I enjoy web design.
My favorite literature/movie genres are fantasy and science fiction.
I have gone horseback riding, participated in track, volleyball, and basketball and I have played the oboe during high school. In college I was not able to continue these activities, but I did enjoy skiing when I could.
My favorite music is industrial/EBM/Darkwave.
I have a level 70 Night Elf Feral Druid on the Echo Isles realm in World of Warcraft, also by the name 'Danale'.
I am a member of what is known online as the "Furry" fandom, however I only enjoy furries as fantasy and science fiction creatures, and do not participate in the sexually deviant (yiff) or spiritually obscure (otherkin) aspects of the fandom. I portray myself as a striped hyena, named Danale when in female, anthro form, and Zelaphas when in male, feral form.
